Pelican Golf Club LPGA Championship Rescheduled
With our community’s hardship, even the slightest chance the LPGA event would put residents and attendees in harm’s way or further spread the virus.
Gratefully, the LPGA announcement Friday morning said the Pelican Women’s Championship to be held at the Pelican Golf Club in Belleair, Fla., initially scheduled for May 11-17, was rescheduled for November 9 – 15, 2020.
They were also postponing three more events and canceling one more.
I was looking forward to the upcoming LPGA Championship. However, the LPGA took the best course of action by gracefully reschedule the event. By postponing the LPGA event, it provides residents with a healthier mindset and shows us someone cares.
