Belleair Please Use E-blast to Alert Residents
Why does Belleair refuse to use their e-blast website system, text alerts, or emails to inform and update Belleair residents? On topics that affect residents socially or finically? Subjects that have a crucial consequence for residents? I get more information from NextDoor.com. Than I’ve ever learned from the Town of Belleair?
I registered on the Belleair’s website. Expecting, I’d be receiving important information and updates. On topics and issues that impact me as a resident. Critical town meetings and weighty town issues.
Instead, I get things like Roadway Project Begins – monthly alerts on City Hall Town Closures. Halloween Bashes, a list of Belleair’s park, not that it isn’t meaningful but alerts about Employees of the Month and updates about the Pelican Golf Club’s LPGA tournament.
The same venue that hosted the Trump roundtable. A course that’s so private the only way I could get on it. Would be as a $10 an hour member of their maintenance crew.
Local government officials serve all citizens. By using text alerts for timely issues, as well as fluff news, that genuinely affects residents. A simple way for our local government to assist all residents better.
