Belleair officials have spent millions trying to keep outside traffic to a minimum. Now our town is facilitating what is likely one of the most significant events Belleair’s ever hosted.
Yet Town officials say no to short term rentals. Forbidding taxpaying residents that could likely a few extra bucks to help pay across the board Belleair increases.
But they allow short term rentals for the Pelican Golf Club!
Belleair is a tony town. But it’s not the East Hampton or Palm Beach. Yet the East Hampton allows short term rentals.
I see no rationale why Belleair officials couldn’t make an amendment permitting residents to benefit money-wise from short-term rentals? It’s a LPGA Tour event sanctioned by the town, not a Burning Man festival or a biker’s club coming to town. We as will be hosting the Super Bowl this year.
