Belleair Town Commissioners’ have approved the fiscal year 2021-22 budget and millage rate.
During the final public hearing on Sept. 20, Belleair Town Commissioners voted 4-0 in support of approving the final millage rate of 6.5 mills and the final budget of $22,055,356 for FY 21/22, which begins Oct. 1, 2021, and ends Sept. 30, 2022. Commissioner Thomas Nessler was absent and excused from the meeting, while Commissioner Tom Shelly voted via Zoom.
Town Manager JP Murphy said, the millage remains the same as it has been for the past three years. Budget for FY 2020-2021 was 16,083,318.
