SeeFixClick.com Easy Way Contact Belleair or Pinellas County

Familiar with SeeFixClick.com

I received an email from SeeFixClick.com. Those not familiar with SeeFixClick.com. It’s a great way to contact your municipality or Pinellas County. Allowing you to file a request or a complaint. The request was filed anonymously on 10/28/2021 regarding parking issues on Pineland in Belleair. You can read the entire request and how some requests are handled. https://seeclickfix.com/issues/11392164

The request was from a 20-year Belleair resident. Concerned with street parking. parked close to the front of the “home all day.” “This is becoming a nuisance, and the town should consider what needs to be updated in our ordinance to prevent nonresidents parking on our streets without restriction.” Complaining about two nonresident cars parking on a Belleair street seemed a little insubstantial. But, reading on, I realized what his concern was.

Human Trafficking

I live across the street from home, causing the parking issue. At first, I thought the house was being used for human trafficking. No seriously. New people there daily. I later meet a young couple leaving the house. Enquiring about the home use. They said it was an STR arrangement, but not through Airbnb or VROB. Once satisfied, no one was in harm’s way. The situation became comical. The house reminds me of a circus clown car. One morning I counted no less than 15 people leaving the house. They’re not noisy and don’t bother us except when they leave at O Dark Hundred.

I believe a different person posted this comment, “when I purchased my property in Belleair, I believe the ordinance prevented overnight parking on our streets.” Belleair Town Manager replied. Thank you. I’ll see to it that each of the Commissioners receive a copy of your comments.” Assigned the issue to Belleair Code Enforcement. Posted “Thank you for reporting your concern to the Town of Belleair. Then Belleair’s Town Manager posted, “As you know, street parking is legal,” And closed the request. I can promise you if anyone parks on the 600 block of Mehlenbacher Rd. They’d be ticketed and towed.

The homes on the south side of the 600 block of Mehlenbacher Rd is in unincorporated Largo and is a County Right Away Road.

I moved to Belleair in 1999. I’m fairly sure street parking were limited. But that was when the town actually swept our streets. Yaa, what’s up with that?

After Belleair’s Town Manager closed the request, someone else posted a new remark saying. “Today, we have eight cars on the south side of Pineland Ave. Some are parked on the grass, and cars are on both sides of the street.” I live across the street from the clown home. I’ve seen eight cars, a trailer, and a 35-foot RV parked in their front yard! I have no idea how they do it.

As for parking on your grass. In the earlier 2000’s we a few guests over. We have a circle driveway. Two of our visitors’ cars were parked on our grass. Belleair Code Enforcement stop by and made us move them. Now there’s abandoned cars and code violations on Mehlenbacher. The extra traffic certainly can damage the infrastructure of the 600 block of Mehlenbacher. Since it couldn’t get much worse.

I grin and bear the fact the 600 block of Mehlenbacher has been disowned by Belleair and neglected and excluded from road improvements by Pinellas County.

However, I feel good about and at the same time bad from individuals. Who paid top dollar from for a lot that was empty for at least 25 years? Generating no tax revenues for the County or Belleair. Built a beautiful new home. Listing it for $899,000. Generating 13 to 14K plus in revenues. That he could possibly list for $999,999. If it wasn’t for the fact. The North side of the 600 block of Mehlenbacher in Belleair looks like a road I drove on in Mogadishu.

Sending each Commissioners, a copy the comments. Is that only the initial request/ comments? What exactly does that accomplish? When the town of Belleair swept the streets. Wasn’t street parking at one time were limited in Belleair. If street parking is legal. Why don’t they park on Mehlenbacher?

I’ll be gosh darned. The town of Belleair has been adamantly opposed to any kind of rentals, served me with papers & threat of legal action should I have air B& B guests on stately Palm Avenue😎This is my mew interest, that the town is picking and choosing who to serve papers to? Who are the owners of said clown house? What’s the rent, how is this happenening in Belleair?

The AirB&B itself isn’t in Belleair. It is located on the south side of Mehlenbacher in unincopr Largo!
