Social Distancing Rules and Essential Service

The LPGA championship at the Pelican Golf Club in Belleair was rescheduled as a letter from the Pelican Golf Club. Says the Pinellas County Sheriff Office representatives reviewed their operating procedures. And the (PCSO) pointed out the importance of recreation, and they appreciated Pelican Golf Club’s efforts to keep our staff employed.

I am attaching the endorsement from the Pinellas County Sheriff Office, sent in the letter by the Pelican Golf Club. Although it’s a significant relief to know, their balls are clean!

The Governor’s latest Executive Order #20-91 effective April 3rd, 2020. Says Senior citizens shall stay at home and individuals with a significant underlying medical condition. Include chronic lung disease, moderate-to-severe asthma, cancer, etc. Florida law defines a senior citizen as someone 60 or older. I’m not sure, but I’d guess many of our private golf clubs’ members are over 60?

The Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office told me there were no responsive public records for the PCSO representatives physically walk about. Which means one of several things: They didn’t look – didn’t know how to access the records – knows the records by a different name – didn’t know they had the records or my pick, Officer Friendly came out of retirement!
