Rosery vs Poinsettia – Largo vs. Belleair – Loser Residents

What’s the real reason everyone is heated over Poinsettia – Rosery. What does the Rosery apartment complex on Clearwater Largo Rd in Largo, FL? Have to do with closing a road.

Who benefits the most from the road closing? Who’s most negatively impacted? Why after 70 years does the road need to be closed? Which town official came up with the idea?

If so, I’m confused. Why or even how Belleair can close a public roadway? The apartment complex supposedly has 224 units, and I’m guessing fewer commuters leaving and returning?

You know better than I do, and we all should know better than to believe agendas are far and few between. It’s all smoke and mirrors.

Who did the traffic study and analysis of the traffic flow and what data supports either request? How much did we pay for our traffic study?  Or was it included in the sale of the town’s best assets?

Are the concerns real, is it town posturing to please their bosses? The elite eight percenters or a real safety issue for our town residents? Is this road rage issue, an insular choice for select Belleair officials or something that impacts mainstream Belleair?

Why wasn’t this addressed in Belleair’s Oct 2018. That Belleair paid USF Florida Institute of Government (FIOG) $60,000 to survey Belleair residents. So, town leaders and commissioners could identify and establishing goals. We did a private Belleair News survey that cost us a ham sandwich!

Out of Belleair’s 4000 residents only 171 residents completed it. A solid 4% or $350 of our tax dollars per completed survey! That’s really dodgy on many levels.

In Nov 2019 the report was completed. It suggested Belleair practiced financial responsibility, proactive policing, pavement quality, preservation of our bluffs, and Belleair’s water supply.

Wow that’s an unforeseen and out of the blue 5 pages of old news. But if you think $60,000 for a fake survey. Is a little pricey. Just wait.

Belleair’s population since 2000 has only increased by less than +1% in 20 years. Wild guess 100 more cars. While over the same period the conditions of many, certainly not the elite eight percenters, but sadly many side roads conditions have decreased. Let’s see now similar traffic flow and dissimilar road conditions.

There’s more to all of this than road closures and traffic? If it is, why haven’t I heard one criticism or objection? About traffic from the 195 BCC and the 133 PCC (328), employees over 8% of Belleair’s population.

There’s that 8% again!! LOL, most of whom race down Mehlenbacher in both east and west directions. While walking her dog, my wife plays a car tag death walk, and taking the trash to the curb, makes you feel like you just landed in Syria.

Mr. Gorbachev, tear down your nontransparent wall. Open the dam road, stop your patronizing attitudes, and become a patron. Demand the circle of advisers. Ceases and desist in their cronyism, nepotism, and patronage. Use detection mechanisms to improve, not disapprove. Create a town of contented comrades and restrict one-way activities.

How about we suggest a give-and-take arrangement? Although seldom used by officials. There’s really a thing called give-and-take. Government guys give it a shot one day!

Unfortunately, this includes the Bluffs, the Beach and the Shores. And regrettably for us the Barons of the Belleair’s prefer the latter. Make the road one way at certain hours or certain days? Nevertheless, whatever the eight elite percenters decide, there will will be done!

I confess I do my best to avoid going anyway near Gotham’s heart and the cast of jokers. However, what’s transpired over the past five or six years isn’t a joke. But, I’m with, and I’m not exactly sure what I’m with? LOL,

It’s time to make Belleair normal again! And when citizens report what they believe isn’t in the best interest of all residents is the most important weapon in your arsenal. Sadly, the way things have gone lately it’s the only deterrent you have. If you want change. Report any appearances concerning conflicts of interest.

Contact ever journalist or media agency you can. Demand public records. Fill up your town, county and federal official’s inbox. Report any ethical violation you believe to be wrong. Google organizations that help citizens whenever the ones you elected don’t! Start questioning everything.
