Clearwater Largo Road People Aren’t Beggars But Homeless

Help placard in hand with crumpled paper pile.

Suppose it’s an attempt to get involved. Why not also get involved with topics having a long-lasting impact on all residents? Important topics, real problems that citizens need to consider. That, when posted, gets little to no attention.

Examples like “Improve Belleair – Belleair Beach Bluffs for All” got zero comments or Belleair Bluffs Gets State Grant with a total of you got zero.

Like many posts overlooked for drama posts that likely doesn’t involve the bulk of the commentators, and like the coyote blitz and most other hot topics, never get resolved.

When in fact, while accusing a handful of unfortunate street people wearing torn and shredded clothes, of misdeeds. By not taking an interest in more impactful posts, we facilitate the more fortunate, better dressed to become the real freeloaders.

No matter which neighborhood we call home, remember. Yes, we need to concentrate on the exterior to build a better neighborhood, but the interior of any places we call home must be a topic of utmost importance.

Just like the coyote behind every tree issue awhile back. In 30 years, the only issue I had with the CLR street people was a personal conflict concerning them. Knowing many of them deserved better!

By the by, for the past three decades, until recently, I have never known anything about a coyote problem! Nor did I think we had a beggar problem. I didn’t see my first coyote until a few years back and saw any beggars on CLR. Sadly, today, I saw a few street people! Which are a few too many?

Even more sadly, today, the professional panhandlers and our elected federal freeloaders.

Today our elected federal freeloader panhandlers wasted time and our money.. Similar to stealing. Donald Trump Jr. 2-day trip to Paris that cost taxpayers at least $64,000 – Then a group of Republican committees — including the committee for President Donald Trump’s reelection filed a federal lawsuit in Montana alleging Governor issued a directive that would allow universal vote-by-mail balloting in November.

But don’t worry about that. Its way out of your control. It all starts at the local level. This is something you can worry about and possible control. Unlike coyotes and street people!

You made some great points. With what’s happening in today’s economy it could be one of us living on the street particularly if there is no social security since the IRS is no longer getting any withholding tax to fund it.

It is so sad there are so many homeless people. My friends and I raised money, back in the day, for a Mobile Homeless Veterans’ Medical Van. The van goes to places homeless people are known to live. They treat them, and try to rehab them by getting them to come to the VA to live. There was a homeless couple living near Seminole Blvd last winter. I dropped off sleeping bags and a case of water for them. If I see a homeless person outside of a Walmart, I buy them a sandwich and a coke. What might seem like a little thing to you, can mean the world to someone who is living on the street. I met quite a few people, thru my job, who lived in tent city, struggling to work while living in a tent. I ask people to please help when you can.

I found this comment very informative and compassionate. It makes me want to support these people and hire anyone who could be helpful( there are many small jobs I need help with).
I fully realize I need to be careful in any hirering situation no matter what road or church they might come from.
