Belleair’s updated and improved website
Belleair’s updated website is simpler to navigate and more transparent. For instance, Belleair’s header has four essential links. They include Government – Departments – Community and Services with drop-down menus for associated subjects. In addition, the update eliminated several issues. For example, for years, Belleair’s home page displayed, “This website is currently under renovation to improve accessibility for users with disabilities.” They removed this alert, and in the “Services,” they now have an ADA Accessibility – Web Accessibility info. In addition, a “Public Notices” link that took you to “We’re sorry, but there is not a web page matching your entry.” Has been repaired.
They also removed the Pelican Golf Club link from the homepage header and the FAQs page. Currently, the only reference to the Pelican Golf Club on the town website is in the “Community” section’s drop-down menu. With a link to a page, notifying readers. Belleair is only involved with permitting residents’ safety, and Pelican’s LPGA Event is not town-sponsored. At one time, the town’s website expressed how “excited the Town of Belleair is to host an LPGA tournament.
2021 Pelican Golf Club’s LPGA Event
On the same page, a link to a completely useless 2020 36-page Special Relief Permit application. At the bottom of this page is a link for the 2021 Pelican Golf Club’s LPGA Event. It isn’t linked to Pelican Golf Club’s (pelicangolfclub.com) home page like past links, but to a landing page (pelicanlpga.com) where you can purchase tickets and a link to become a volunteer. I presume by posting a link to the Special Relief Permit application.
In addition, the updated navigation menu has six helpful links like “Report an Issue or Make a Suggestion” and “Belleair SeeClickFix and Emergency Alerting,” where you can register for Alert Pinellas. The website’s main body has a town “Calendar” and Quick Links. The site’s footer has new and more useful links, including the Largo Fire Rescue link, which I couldn’t find a Largo Fire Rescue link on the old site and should be more prominent. The revised site has a link for Pinellas County Sex Offender & Predator Search. A link all local government sites should offer.
Great! Much easier to utilize. Big improvement. Thanks.

It’s about time they got their stuff together!
